My only girl is now 13. As I look at her and the young lady that she is becoming, I can't help but to recall the day that I had my sonogram and found out I was having a girl. I said a prayer that day and in that prayer I asked God for a little girl that would be strong and independent. I hoped that I wasn't asking too much when I described what I envisioned as my perfect little girl. After all, I didn't want to be greedy or demanding. However,my list was long and it included attributes that I learned later in life would be very important to have as a girl. I wanted her to come equipt with these qualities from the start. I added one little selfish request... please let her get a combination of Jason and my hair so that she wouldn't have to have my fine, do nothing good hair or Jason's thick head of course hair. God is good and he not only gave me all of the personal attributes that I requested he also made sure she had the best head of hair ever! Seriously... the girl has hair that many of us PAY hairdressers for... naturally! The only thing that I didn't plan for when I was on my knees praying that day was that he would give me the qualities of independence and strong will and self-confidence and he would roll that all up in a tiny little body. From the day she was born she came out with this will that if she wasn't going to do it... it's not gonna be done. If she wanted... that's what was going to happen. She's a fighter, she's fierce and she's my baby girl. While I've had to figure out a way to handle all of her amazingness, I've discovered that she's a LOT like her daddy with a dash of me thrown in the mix. As we head down the teenage path... I just hope the roller coaster ride isn't TOO twisty...
I love you Madison Aleece!

Congratulations on having a teenager Sherry!!! Let the fun begin! LOL Kim just graduated from 8th grade last night and lately I find myself wondering where the time went. It speeds by so fast. Madison is a beautiful girl, I love all the pictures you post. I only wish Kim would be so cooperative so I would get a good shot of her!
Good Luck, there is NOTHING that can prepare you for life with a teenage girl!!
Hugs!
